Haygon Safaris, an exclusive and privately-owned game ranch, situated in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, offers plains game hunting and photographic opportunities for the discerning client. Our ranch is located on the Limpopo River on the border with Botswana and approximately 4 hours from Johannesburg International Airport. Road transfers are included in our daily rate.

Your host, Professional Hunter and Operator, Gary Koen, has over 12 years of professional hunting experience, with 10 of these years being spent in Zimbabwe hunting mainly dangerous game. Hunting is conducted in an ethical manner and the traditional walk and stalk method is used.

The hunting camp comprises well-appointed, quality accommodation overlooking the Limpopo River. Luxurious thatched chalets with spacious en-suite bathrooms provide a comfortable bush experience, with fireplaces for those cold winter evenings. The central dining and entertainment area overlooks a sparkling heated pool. The camp is fully electrified ensuring hot water and ice cold drinks. Whilst there is no telephone at the hunting camp, there is an area where we have cellular phone reception and, at the manager’s house, a telephone and e-mail facility is available. Fine cuisine and excellent South African wines are served by our team of friendly and well-trained staff who will cater for your every need.

Qualified skinners will ensure your trophies are expertly prepared. Packing, crating and export of your raw trophies can be arranged with a professional shipping agent for delivery to your taxidermist.

A safari is a minimum of 7 hunting days.

**This is an ecological hunt without the death of the animal. The rhino is shot with a soporific dart and, after photographs have been taken of the hunter and his "trophy", and a mould taken of the horns, an antidote is administered for its recovery. Please note that we need at least 3 months notice to arrange this activity.  All of the available plains game species can be hunted during this safari at listed trophy fees.

All safari packages start on arrival in Johannesburg on day one, and end on the last day when returned to Jo’burg.
